Requests for CDE® Statistical Data

Requests for Certified Diabetes Educator® (CDE®) statistical data are subject to approval by NCBDE. All requests must be submitted in writing to NCBDE by mail or facsimile and must include a statement of specific purpose for which the requested information will be used. Requests sent by email are not accepted. (NOTE: CDE information is not available for general public use.)

General CDE® Statistical Data

A count by state for January 2014 is available for no charge through the NCBDE web site. General percentage information by discipline/profession is also available for that same time frame. Click here to view the web page with this information.

The only other statistics available upon request approval, with cost to be determined based upon the size of the request, etc., are:

  • Total number of CDEs in a particular state(s)
  • A breakdown of the total number by zip code (with zip codes provided by you)
  • A breakdown of the total number by discipline/profession overall or in a particular state(s)

Requests for Access to CDE® Mailing List Access

NCBDE offers the use of the list of Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs) for mailings to organizations wishing to advertise their conferences, products, publications and services. All proposed mailings are reviewed in relation to current NCBDE Mailing List Usage policies. Note: Neither email addresses nor telephone numbers are available.

To request use of the mailing list, please review the Mailing List Usage policy and complete a Mailing List Order Form (Click here to access current mailing list information in pdf format). To obtain a hard copy of the documents, please contact the national office. A completed mailing list order form AND sample of the piece you wish to distribute must be sent to NCBDE for review. You are invited to refer to the January 2014 count by state for a general idea of the number of CDEs in any particular state.

NCBDE requires pre-approval of mailings to be distributed to its CDEs and is the sole judge of the suitability of materials. There is a required minimum 15 business day lead time to review/process list orders from the receipt date of order form and sample piece. If use of the mailing list is not being paid via credit card, an invoice will follow via mail or email.
