American/National Diabetes Month

All Day Event

Every November is American/National Diabetes Month...

National Diabetes Month (aka American Diabetes Month) is observed every November so individuals, health care professionals, organizations, and communities across the country can bring attention to diabetes and its impact on millions of Americans.

This year, the National Diabetes Education Program’s theme is: Promoting Health After Gestational Diabetes. Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy. Mothers who’ve had gestational diabetes need to know that they and their children have an increased lifelong risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
